My father, the inimitable Andy Baumgartner, loved free stuff.  The man was an aficionado for all the little tchotchkes that come with a trip to the bank, a conference or even the dentist.  When you would chide him for picking up yet another TD Bank branded chapstick he would say "what do you want from me? They were giving them away!"

It was hard to make fun of him for it because the joy he took in procuring these treasures was so real.  He once tried to give Tim a Maxwell House Coffee can full of various branded pens (Peabody Insurance, Ramada Inn, Country Motors) as a gift. When Tim politely declined saying he didn't need 65 pens, Andy retorted "What? Why? Pens don't go bad. They're not like milk!"

Hard to argue with the logic.

That feeling of getting something for free IS fun. That sample of broken cookies at the bakery always feels joyful. 

We are trying to bring that fun and whimsy to our campaign with NuMarket to expand into Maine.  When you contribute you and we meet our goal you will get 1.2x your investment back in the form of Family Dinner credits.  If you are already a weekly Family Dinner customer (Merci Beaucoup, by the way!) making a contribution is like pre-paying for your shares and getting 20% more in return. That's 20% more treats to hide from your friends and loved ones!

Pickled Veg Nachos - Okay, so hear me out. My favorite nachos ever included pickled veg on them. ITS FANTASTIC. Highly, highly recommend. Whether you use a quickle onion, carrot, radishes from last week, or whatever else you have on hand, it will be AMAZING. 

Mushroom and Spinach Italian Style - quick and easy weeknight side? yes, please! 

Baked Haddock with Spinach and Tomatoes - Easy Peasy, Tomato Squeezie. 

Balsamic Marinated Tuna with Radicchio - These Radicchio heads are beautiful - cant wait to see what you make with them. 

Glazed Hakurei Turnips - Don't be intimidated by the name turnip, these puppies are delicious! 

Beef and Mushroom Skillet - This cold snap now only has me wanting dishes made in cast iron and I'm okay with that :)
