Talkin' Turkey

Hello! A quick note and a sincere apology:

TALKING TURKEY

Like it or not, it's time to talk Turkey again. While your mind may still be lingering in Labor Day Land, the calendar is moving at its frenetic, near impossible pace. I walked into a store playing Christmas music yesterday and almost had a nuclear grade temper tantrum in front of a woman in a "Holly AND Jolly" t-shirt. Too soon, people!

But with the holidays come the chance to gather, eat, and cover foods in buckets of gravy. So let's talk Turkey. The Thanksgiving page is live - limited quantities of locally sources birds are available!

This year's turkeys will be from Tide Mill Organic Farm in Edmunds, Maine, a 200-year/ninth generation family operation! The birds grow up eating fresh green grass and organic grains, and enjoying fresh air and Edmunds' notoriously varied coastal weather. Processing occurs on the farm, which means the turkeys do not have to endure the stress of transport. Tide Mill Organic Farm turkey is always tender and delicious because of the respect and care with which they were raised. Turkeys will be delivered fresh or previously frozen.

We are also offering chickens from Feather Brook Farms. Known as the Cadillac of chickens, some of our customers have referred to this as the tastiest chicken they've ever had. Chickens will be delivered frozen.

This year we will also be offering Thanksgiving Veggie add-ons, pies and a vegetarian entree option. More info on these to come!

A couple points:

Orders must be placed by Friday, November 12. (but quantities are very limited!)

All Thanksgiving items will be delivered on Tuesday, November 23.

Also, What does a one-legged turkey say? ......Wobble, wobble.
