Stare Down Your Chicken.

 

We hear from folks sometimes that they are intimidated by the chickens in the shares, they're not used to cooking a full or half bird, so they tuck it into the freezer to be used "some other time".

Have faith people! It's time to stare down that bird and conquer your fears.

Today might be the day that you use your chicken right away. Let it defrost and plan your attack. Grill, stovetop, or slow-cooker- just get it done and enjoy for the rest of the week.

RECIPES

Ricotta Pasta with Basil and Lemon: I WOULD LIKE THREE POUNDS OF THIS RIGHT NOW, PLEASE.

Ricotta Pizza Bianco: This is Tim's favorite, and we are making it tonight. We don't have dough but we have some focaccia in the freezer that we will sub in. We'll top with fresh tomatoes so we feel slightly less bad about eating pounds and pounds of cheese.

 Broccoli Greens Skillet: These guys can step in for kale in your soups, salads or smoothies. Here we use it in a skillet. We will sub in Hot Italian sausage from Tad. Enjoy!
